Blood orange margaritas
Ingredients for two cocktails:
- 4oz tequila
- 3oz fresh squeezed lime juice
- 2oz Cointreau
- 1oz fresh squeezed blood orange juice
- Salt, for rims
Directions:
- Juice your citrus
- Fill a shallow saucer or dish with a bit of salt—I like pink Himalayan sea salt for this.
- Use a juiced lime wedge to rim two double old fashioned glasses with juice.
- Invert glasses into dish with salt in order to salt rims.
- Fill glasses with ice and place in freezer to chill
- Add ice, tequila, Cointreau and citrus juices to shaker and shake vigorously (about 20-30 times)
- Remove glasses from freezer and pour strained mixture over ice in glasses
- Enjoy!
